  • Bev Edmonds got the ball rolling by typing up excerpts from the Queenslander newspaper and others

  • Kathy Pearson typed up Greville's 1872 Postal Directory

  • Kathy also typed up a publication about North Coast (NSW) Schools

  • I tried to transcribe a journal from Penrith Dispensary from mid 1800's

  • Some other people contributed bits and pieces

  • Peter & Elizabeth Pidgeon collected some Women's Weekly Where are they Now columns

The transcriptions section is broken up into the following parts:

Every person who has contributed to the web site has done so in the full knowledge that the work will get plastered all over the place to ensure that it is free and easy to find.

Some people have copied some of the pages without telling either the transcriber or me - then they put it on their website as if they did the work - that is plagiarism (stealing).  If you use a transcription please let people know who did the work and give credit where credit is due - that is a nice thing to do.  Giving credit in a tiny weeny little font at the bottom of a page is not giving credit.  Introducing the work up front as someone else's is.
